Wendy is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of California, Riverside, with plans to pursue her Master’s degree. She currently serves as a program co-lead at Enlight Education, where she helps design and deliver engaging STEM content to lead a middle school hackathon focused on accessibility and creativity to young students. She is passionate about helping and uplifting others through education and mentorship, especially students from underserved communities, and aims to make tech more inclusive for future generations. Her career interests include software development, education technology, and teaching. Outside of academics, she is also the Youth Group leader at her church, serves as the UCR SHPE (Society of Hispanic Engineers) secretary, and is a peer mentor at a new math initiative, A Tu Lado, at UCR.
